About Our Governance

A democratically elected board committed to transparent and accountable governance.

The Board of Trustees of Nishad Community Trust is the highest governing body of the organization. Comprising elected representatives from the community, the board is responsible for setting the strategic direction, overseeing operations, and ensuring the trust fulfils its mission.

Board members are elected every three years through a democratic election process open to all registered members. The board meets quarterly to review progress, approve budgets, and make key decisions for the community.

All board members serve on a voluntary basis, reflecting their deep commitment to the welfare of the Nishad community.

President — A visionary leader with 20+ years of community service. Leads the trust with dedication and integrity.

Shri Suresh Kumar Bind

Vice President — Oversees welfare programs and community outreach initiatives across Uttar Pradesh.

Smt. Anita Mallah

General Secretary — Manages day-to-day operations, correspondence, and administrative functions of the trust.

Shri Dinesh Kewat

Treasurer — Responsible for financial management, budgeting, and audit compliance of the trust.

Shri Vijay Nishad

Joint Secretary — Coordinates between board committees and manages event planning and community programs.

Smt. Priya Bind

Women Wing President — Champions women empowerment programs and matrimonial services for the community.

Dr. Anil Nishad

Senior Advisor — Retired IAS officer with expertise in governance, policy, and community development.

Prof. Meena Kewat

Education Advisor — Professor at Allahabad University, leads the trust education and scholarship committee.

Legal Advisor — Senior advocate providing legal guidance on trust operations, disputes, and compliance.
